Target Strategic Proposal
In a Business Strategy course, I lead a team of four other students in developing a strategic proposal for Target Corp. Over the course of the semester, we conducted research and financial analysis to inform our strategy. Our goal was to increase consolidated operating profit by 10% over our projected baseline in five years through a strategy that utilizes Target’s strengths in creative ways. To conclude our project, we delivered our strategic proposal to a panel of executive judges, including a Target representative.
Brand Strategy Development
Teeny Bite Bakery
As part of a Brand Strategy Development course, I worked in a team of four students in creating two distinct brand positioning strategies for Teeny Bite Bakery. In order to understand the cultural context, industry challenges and opportunities, and competitive landscape, my team conducted primary and secondary research to inform our positioning strategies. We successfully created two positioning strategies and effective marketing creatives, with the objective of dismantling the stigma that vegan desserts are inferior in taste and quality. In conclusion of our project, we pitched our brand strategies in a thirty-minute presentation to the founder of Teeny Bite Bakery.
Brand Strategy Development
Skidmore College
The second client for my Brand Strategy Development course was Skidmore College. In an industry not only facing an enrollment cliff, but also facing prospective students who are increasingly skeptical of the value of an undergraduate degree, our positioning strategies addressed the challenge of convincing prospective students the value of a liberal arts education at Skidmore. Informed by our robust primary and secondary research effort, our marketing creatives (brochures, instagram posts, and video ads) presented Skidmore’s brand as a fulfilling and practical investment. At the conclusion of the three-weeks, we presented our positioning strategies to the Director of Marketing and Engagement of Skidmore College.
